What this policy covers
This policy explains personal information handling on the Builders Stop Center website. You can browse products, prepare a Project List and print a quote brief. The website does not accept orders, payments, uploaded files or online quote submissions. It has no customer accounts, newsletter signup or advertising trackers.
Information you later give an office during a purchase or quotation is separate from the browser-only tools described here. Ask the office how it will use and keep that information before sharing it.
Information used when you browse
Your browser sends connection information needed to load pages, such as an IP address, browser information, requested URL and request time. The server and network services handle this information to deliver the website and protect it from misuse. Search words and filters form part of page URLs, so do not put personal or confidential information in a product search.
Technical information is used for website delivery, fault investigation and security, not advertising profiles. The basis for necessary delivery and security processing is the legitimate interest in providing a functioning, safe website. Optional device storage uses your consent. Handling a rights request may also be necessary to comply with data-protection law.
Your Project List and quote brief
The print-only quote tool asks for a customer category, project city and state, stage, product categories and timing. Quantities and project context are optional. It does not ask for your name, email address, telephone number or budget. Do not include another person's details, a precise home address, bank information or identity documents in notes.
Project notes and quote details stay in the memory of the open tab. The website does not send them to Builders Stop Center. They remain available while you navigate within the site and are cleared when the page is reloaded or the tab is closed. Print or export only on a device you trust. Copies you download or print remain under your control until you delete or dispose of them.
If you choose to save a Project List, only product identifiers and quantities are stored in this browser. Notes are not saved. See the cookie and browser-storage policy for your choices and expiry periods.
Access, sharing and overseas processing
The site contains no advertising pixels, embedded social feeds, embedded maps or third-party video players. Fonts, product images and available documents are served with the website. It does not sell personal information or use browsing information for automated decisions about you.
People operating the site and services carrying or serving a request may handle the connection information needed for their work. A request you send to an office is accessible to the people handling it. Information may also need to be disclosed where the law requires it. Visiting an external link is your choice; the destination site's privacy rules then apply. The browser-only tools do not send your notes or brief to an overseas service.
How long information stays
Quote details and notes last only in the open tab. Optional saved product selections expire after 30 days from their last use. Display preferences and the record of your privacy choices expire after 180 days. The site checks expiry when it is opened again; it cannot remove browser data while the browser is closed. You can remove saved data earlier in Privacy settings or your browser settings.
Connection data is needed while requests are served. Any technical records retained for fault or security investigation must be limited to what that purpose needs, and deleted when no longer needed unless a legal obligation or claim requires retention. This website does not create a database of quote briefs or contact details.
Your choices and rights
Under applicable Nigerian data-protection law, you may request access, correction, erasure or a copy of personal information, object to processing, and withdraw consent. Rights can depend on the circumstances. Withdrawing optional storage consent does not affect earlier lawful use. You can keep browsing after rejecting it.
Use Privacy settings to withdraw device-storage choices immediately. For information held by the business, contact an office below. Provide enough information to locate the relevant record; the office may need proportionate verification to protect it from disclosure to someone else. You may complain directly to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission at ndpc.gov.ng. You do not have to give up that right to contact us first.
Children and policy changes
These tools are intended for adults making product and project decisions. We do not ask children to provide information. If a child has shared personal information with an office through use of this website, contact that office to have the situation reviewed.
The date above identifies this version. A change in what the website collects or how it uses information will need an updated notice and, where required, a fresh choice before the new processing begins.
